Garnet Families is the network of the Families Matter Research Group, based at Queen’s University. Garnet Families is striving to support defence and public safety personnel families by providing free resources and a supportive community. As community members ourselves, we know that the experience of each defence or public safety personnel family is different, and these families are faced with unique demands in maintaining their own wellbeing. Garnet Families’ mission is to let these families know they’re not alone; they’re part of the Garnet Family.

Here to serve.

Our Team
Garnet Families exists to aid defence and public safety families and those who study, serve, and support them. Our team of researchers, community development professionals, and administrators have lived experiences as members of defence and public safety families and seek to bring positive change and impact into the lives of these families.
